A building born from the reconstruction of Reims
Bulle 1924 takes its name from the date of its building. This corner building on Place Aristide Briand was built in 1924, during the great reconstruction of Reims. Very heavily damaged by the bombardments of the First World War, the city was rebuilt in the 1920s; many of its façades, shops and public buildings date from that period, and Reims is today one of the French cities richest in Art Deco architecture. The Carnegie Library, a famous example, is a 9-minute walk from the restaurant.
An Art Deco dining room for today
Inside, the dining room revisits the codes of the Roaring Twenties: vine-green walls, green velvet chairs and banquettes, black marble tables rimmed with brass, gold cutlery, herringbone parquet and geometric diamond-pattern wallpaper. At the back, the bar is clad in a green marble pattern. Gilded wall lights and a chandelier complete the setting.
The result is an original restaurant in Reims, where people come as much for the setting as for the food. The dining room is wheelchair accessible and air-conditioned.
An address to discover in the city centre
The corner façade, with its green awnings bearing the name Bulle 1924 and its terrace, looks onto Place Aristide Briand, right in the city centre. In the evening, the illuminated building can be seen from afar. It is a 9-minute walk from Notre-Dame Cathedral, and 9 minutes from the Carnegie Library, another Art Deco landmark of the reconstruction.
The dining room suits a quick weekday lunch as well as a Friday or Saturday dinner: banquettes for tables of two, large tables for families and friends, and a bar for an aperitif.

Cooking for today
While the décor looks back to 1924, the cooking is very much of today: chef Matthieu works with fresh, seasonal produce sourced from local producers, and everything is homemade. Our sommelier Lilou pairs the dishes with winemakers’ wines and Champagnes. Discover the menu and the cellar.
